Sapa – Halong Bay Tour – 4 Days

This tour will take you from the mountain to the bay, the most beautiful landscape of Northern Vietnam.
With a short 4 days trip but we have a chance to discover the life style of the hill tribe, the terraced rice field in Sapa as well as the world heritage sites of Halong bay.

BRIEF ITINERARY:
Night train:  Hanoi - Lao Cai
Night 1: Night train Hanoi - Lao Cai
Day 01: Sapa - Heaven Gate - Silver Water Fall (B, L)
Day 02: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Night train to Hanoi (B, L)
Day 03: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Day 04: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B, L)

NIGHT 01: NIGHT TRAIN HANOI - LAO CAI
In the evening, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel then transfer to the station for a night train to Lao Cai.
Overnight on soft sleeper berths cabin to Lao Cai.

DAY 01: LAO CAI - SAPA - HEAVEN GATE - SILVER WATER FALL - OPTIONAL FANSIPAN BY CABLE CAR (B, L)
We arrive Lao Cai train station in the early morning. Pick up and driving to Sapa, it takes us around one hour to make our way up the mountains. Once at Sapa, we have breakfast before starting the tour.
Meet your guide and driver for a leisure trip. The drive uphill offers most spectacular scenery of Fansipan Mount. Just a kilometer out of the town, rose flower farms and later chayote grows on bamboo frames covered a vast area. We’ll stop at the magnificent Silver Waterfall before continue the road trip for some kilometers further to Heaven Gate and Tram Ton Pass. At 2047m above sea level, the Heaven Gate & Tram Ton Pass is the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. From here enjoy walking around for half an hour for beautiful scenery of both two side of Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The wind blows stronger to force the clouds moving constantly. It is the best point here to enjoy breathtaking scenery of the two side of Fansipan Mountain Range. Amazingly that the weather is very different by the side: In many days It is foggy and cloudy on Sa Pa side and sunny brightly the other side.
Leaving the Heaven Gate for the way back downhill 7 km, then stop to pay visiting to some lush farm in O Quy Ho where different kind of vegetable, flower, fruit trees and even medicinal plants are grown for years which makes this part of Sapa ever green.

The cable car system in Sapa is the world’s longest and highest cable car, running up from sleepy Sapa Town in Lao Cai Province to the peak of 3,143-meter. Fansipan Mountain, known as Indochina’s rooftop.
Reaching Mount Fansipan used to mean a full-day hike at least. But from Feb 2016 the trek up will be reduced to a 25-minute flight by cable car. The 6.5km long cable car can carry a maximum of 2,000 passengers an hour, with each cabin accommodating 35 passengers.

DAY 02: SAPA - Y LINH HO - LAO CHAI - TAVAN - NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B, L)
Get up in the early morning and enjoy the fresh air and the daily life at Sapa market by yourself. Back to hotel for breakfast. At 9.00 our tour guide will pick up you up at your hotel and starting a walking tour. Follow a walk cross Muong Hoa River and pass well-tended rice terraces on your way to the Y Linh Ho one of the most wonderful Valley in Sapa, we will then reach to Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. We have lunch in a home in the village. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.
In the afternoon and wait for your transfer to the station for night train to Hanoi.
Approx: 1-hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.
Overnight on soft sleeper berths cabin to Hanoi.

DAY 03: HANOI - HALONG BAY (B, L, D)
Arrive Hanoi in the early morning. We arrange one room at a mini hotel close train station for you to relax, take shower and have breakfast and we will pick you up around 08:00 am for a transfer to Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1.000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes
Upon arrival at Halong Bay we embark on a boat trip to cruise discovering this magnificent UNESCO World Wonder. This is a great journey among surreal islands rising from a tranquil emerald sea.
In the late afternoon, we anchor for the night on the bay and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner on board.

DAY 04: HALONG BAY - HANOI (B, L)
Early morning coffee and tea will be served on the sundeck followed by a Tai Chi class. After breakfast we take a Sampan boat to explore Luon Cave. We may have a chance to see the wild monkeys that gather around waiting for food from the tourists. After that we continue to cruise around the bay. Lunch is served on the boat on our way back to the docks then we return to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi around 16.30.
