Hanoi – Sapa – Halong Bay Tour – 6 Days

Day 01: Hanoi arrival - Half day city – night train to Lao Cai (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)
Upon arrival, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to your hotel.
We visit Ho Chi Minh complex, including the One Pillar Pagoda, the former leader’s house on stilts and his Mausoleum (outside)
Keep forward to the peaceful Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam.
Back to the city central, visit Ngoc Son temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, then take an hour cycle tour around the old quarter.
Enjoy dinner before transfer to the train station to take a night train to Lao Cai.

Day 02: Lao Cai - Sapa – Sin Chai - Cat Cat village (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:30. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. Driving to Sapa is only 38 km but it takes around one hour to make our way up the mountains. Once at Sapa, we will check into the hotel (if the room is available - check in time after 12:00). After freshening up and having breakfast we are ready to explore Sapa town.
Met up at your hotel in Sapa by local guide and driver and driven to Sin Chai village. This is a beautiful village, located right at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range and inhabited by Black Hmong minority. There we start our trekking journey uphill. Once we reach to the top, you will take a small trail descending to Catcat village. Your lunch will be provided near a waterfall.

Day 03: Lao Chai – Ta Van – Hanoi by overnight train (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch)
Breakfast at the hotel.
The car will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H'mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages. After visiting Ta Van the car will return you to Sapa.
Free time until we transfer back to Lao Cai railway station for night train to Hanoi.

Day 04: Hanoi – Halong bay. Overnight on the cruise (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Transfer by shuttle bus from Hanoi without guide (Only local guide on boat).
Arrival at Hanoi railway station in the early morning. Walk to a mini hotel for breakfast and shower.
Around 08:00AM: We depart Hanoi for Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong bay has more than 1.000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes
Upon arrival at Halong Bay we embark on a boat trip to cruise discovering this magnificent UNESCO World Wonder. This is a great journey among surreal islands rising from a tranquil emerald sea. You will visit several key locations.
Visits:
– One of the most stunning caves of Halong Bay
– Stop at a beautiful beach and take a refreshing swim or sunbathe on the sundeck; take a short trek to the nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay.
Back onboard the junk, you will watch the sunset and be served a sumptuous dinner, with cocktails available for purchase from the bar. You will spend the night onboard the junk, in a cabin with an ensuite bathroom.

Day 05: Halong Bay – Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Early morning coffee and tea will be served on the sundeck followed by a Tai Chi class. After breakfast we take a Sampan boat or Kayak to explore the bay. We may have a chance to see the wild monkeys that gather around waiting for food from the tourists. After that we continue to cruise around the bay. Lunch is served on the boat on our way back to the docks then we transfer back to Hanoi.
The rest of time is free for shopping.

Day 06: Hanoi – Departure (Meal: Breakfast) (Private car, no guide)
Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
